take your creative business ideas from dream to done

When I was growing up, all I knew was that I wanted to make money by making things.

Although many well-meaning people in my life advised against this dream, I ended up pursuing art and design throughout school, and eventually went on to get an art degree in printmaking (specializing in woodcut printing and lithography).

But after graduation, I realized that I knew absolutely NOTHING about how to actually make money with what I was so deeply passionate about.

That’s the stuff they just don’t teach you in art school...

So I put my hard earned printing skills to work doing something I knew would at least pay the bills and got a job printing shirts.

Although I truly fell in love with printing shirts, I hated working for other people, and I knew deep down that I was born for something more...

I wanted to spend my days being creative, making things that mattered, making my own schedule, taking time off when I wanted to, calling the shots, creating financial freedom and inspiring others to do the things they love.

I eventually built up the confidence to share my work online... but when I made my first website to sell my prints on back in 2015 I had no idea what I was doing.

I quickly became obsessed with scavenging the internet for any and all information I could find about business, marketing, websites, and becoming your own boss.

I found an overwhelming surplus of often conflicting information that usually lacked important specifics and actionable advice, but I was determined af...

I eventually made a website that I was proud of and continued to improve it (as well as my business strategy, branding and marketing) as I kept learning.

To my surprise, my friends from art school started asking me questions about their websites and how to get attention online. This was the first time I started to realize that I had actually figured some of this "online business stuff" out!

Through helping other people understand these concepts and follow their creative dreams, I found yet another passion in teaching what I know.

That was several years ago, and I am still obsessed with learning more and sharing that knowledge every single day.

I started doing this work when I realized just how many other artists and makers out there were struggling to get their work online and make their dreams a reality, because it’s rarely a lack of ambition that derails us, it's a lack of direction.

I want artists and makers to feel confident and excited to start and grow a creative business, not overwhelmed and frustrated, because it is possible.‍‍

That's why my biggest goal is to help entrepreneurial artists and makers build and grow sustainable online businesses that help them stand out and sell their creative work, skills, and knowledge online.
